Real estate crowdfunding is a modern form of collective investing into construction and development projects. It works by pooling your capital with other investors and jointly participating in real estate projects that would otherwise be hard to access for an individual.
Through a digital platform multiple investors contribute funds to a specific project. After the construction is completed and the agreed milestones are met, the profits are distributed among all participants pro rata according to the size of their investment.
This model allows people with smaller capital to invest in larger projects such as apartment buildings, residential complexes or refurbishments of existing buildings — increasingly important in the context of urban and regional growth across Slovakia.
